Week 8 is in the book, and only two teams now have a shot at the regular season title.

Week 8 Recap

In the first match, Pathetic Bilbao comfortably defeated Atletico Madrink 3-0.  Atletico has been reeling after failing to field enough players the last several weeks.  Pathetic has also been struggling after a strong start to the season, but a Man of the Match performance from Renato Flit got them back on track.

Next,  Shaktar Donuts destroyed Real Social Dads by a score of 35-9.  Shaktar is gunning for first place, but they still sit in second six points behind the league leaders.  Real Social Dads now sit comfortably in fourth.  Matteo Scicchitano was named Man of the Match for the Donuts due to his heroics.

On Sunday,  Birrareal smacked Werder Beermen 10-0.  An all-around team performance delivered the victory for Birrareal, but Babacar Diouf ‘s outstanding performance was recognized, and he won Man of the Match honors.  Birrareal widened the gap between first and last with the big win.

Week 9 Preview

To open week 9, Pathetic Bilbao and Werder Beermen will fight it out.  The Beermen still only have one win to their name, and Pathetic can solidify third place with a victory.  Fubles is predicting Pathetic as slight favorites in this tough matchup.

Birrareal and Shaktar Donuts square off in a top of the table clash that could decide the title.  Birrareal could wrap up the league season title with a win, but the Donuts have been sharp in recent week and have proven to be stiff competition. Fubles believes it will be a close match as there is not much between these teams, but the predictors do give a slight advantage to Shaktar for an upset.

In the final game of the weekend, Real Social Dads and Atletico Madrink will take the field.  Atletico is back to playing with a full team, but they need to gel quickly against Atletico, a team that will be looking for some better results.  Once again, Fubles does not see much between these two, and it is a real tossup as to who will win.
