The La Berliga table is beginning to take shape after four weeks of matches. Two unbeaten teams are vying for the top spot.
Week 4 Recap
Pathetic Bilbao continued their unbeaten start by beating Werder Beermen 11-6. Pathetic Bilbao has been off to a blistering pace and has enjoyed some top performances from key players. This week it was Luccas Braga who led the line for Bilbao and scored a 7.5 rating. The Beermen are the last team stuck without a win this season, and they will need to turn it around fast if they hope to climb out of last place.
Birrareal was the second team to stay undefeated this week after their 25-20 triumph over challengers Shaktar Donuts. Radu Ichim put in one of the top performances of the week for Birrareal with a 7.89 Man of the Match winning rating. The Donuts still put in a respectable team performance, but they were outdone by Birrareal’s quality.
In the final game of the weekend, Real Social Dads clinched their first win of the season in a 21-12 victory against Atletico Madrink. Alexandr Lazarev put in a world-class performance for the Dads, and he was aided by another 8.0 rating from Gulam Zeynalli. Atletico Madrink will be kicking themselves for failing to capitalize on a game against the struggling Dads team.
Week 5 Preview
First, Shaktar Donuts play Atletico Madrink. Shaktar is sitting in third place, but they are six points off from second place. A win for Atletico would mean that they would tie Shaktar on points and move into third place with them. Therefore, it is a game with everything to play for, and Fubles is giving a slight edge to Atletico.
Next, Werder Beermen and Real Social Dads will go toe-to-toe. Both teams have struggled early in the season, so both teams will see it as an opportunity to turn their season around. Fubles is predicting that the Dads will add to the misery of the Beermen, but the Beermen could be a dark horse tipping pick.
Finally, Pathetic Bilbao and Birrareal will play a top of the table clash that will have a huge impact on the title race. Both teams are undefeated, and they look to be locked in a two-horse race with their competitors struggling to string results together. This will be a difficult game for tippers to predict, but Fubles is giving quite a large edge to reigning champions Birrareal.
Join the tipping competition here if you would like to join in on this year’s tipping and keep track of the tipping standings. It’s still early in the season, so it is still possible to catch the top of the table. Three tippers are tied at the top after predicting the last three weeks all correct, so the competition is fierce.
Luccas Braga, Radu Ichim, and Alexandr Lazarev won the Man of the Match bragging rights this week. They also won a “Wildpack” from Wildcorn Popcorn and a 2-week trial for Blinkist. Keep track of the Top Players table here.
