The league table is getting tight at the top, and the run-in to the end of the season promises to be one of the most exciting in La Berliga history.
Week 7 Recap
Birrareal downed Atletico Madrink by a score of 25-17. Birrareal is now level on points at the top of the table while Atletico is struggling at the bottom of the table. All Birrareal players put in a good performance, but Lisan Skenderi was the top performer for the winning team.
In the second match, Pathetic Bilbao had the best of Shaktar Donuts and won 18-15. With the win, Pathetic Bilbao keeps the pace with Birrareal and ensure the title race will go down to the wire. Pathetic Bilbao’s star Marcus Vieira stole the show, and he made sure a great performance from Juan David Giraldo was nullified.
Finally, Real Social Dads continued their stellar form with a 19-15 win over Werder Beermen. Real Social Dads sit two points behind the league leaders, and they are still very much in the hunt for the title. On the other hand, Werder Beermen are fighting to climb out of last place, and a Man of the Match performance from Hugo Silva was not enough to overcome the Dads’ firepower.
Week 8 Preview
First, Real Social Dads face struggling Atletico Madrink. In the two teams’ first match, the Social Dads clobbered Atletico 38-13. Atletico has improved since that game, but they will have a tough hill to climb in order to revenge last game’s heavy defeat. Despite the large margin in the first game, Fubles is only predicting a slight advantage for the Dads this time out.
Shaktar Donuts take on Birrareal in another match pitting teams at the opposite end of the table. Their first match was a big win for Birrareal, 29-11. Birrareal has regained form since slipping up early in the season, and the Donuts have struggled to carry over their cup winning form from last season. However, Fubles’ best guess is that Shaktar Donuts will win this match and throw a wrench in Birrareal’s season.
Finally, Pathetic Bilbao will play Werder Beermen. This means all three top teams will face teams in the lower half of the table. In the earlier meeting between these teams Bilbao won by six goals, so Werder Beermen will be hoping to close that gap and get an upset victory. Fubles thinks Bilbao will come out on top again.
