Week 13 Match Reports
Birrareal continued to show their class in a 19-13 victory over Werder Beermen. Despite already having the league title in their hands, Birrareal put struggling Werder Beermen to the sword. A convincing team effort including a world-beating 8.15 Man of the Match performance from Kado Damball saw Birrareal through to victory. With the loss, Werder Beermen can still climb into 6th with a win next week, but they are still at risk of falling into last place.
Pathetic Bilbao downed Atletico Madrink in a thrilling 24-19 win. In perhaps the most meaningful match of the week, Pathetic Bilbao came up big to leapfrog Atletico Madrink into second place. Perennial top performer Marcus Vieira claimed Man of the Match honors for Pathetic Bilbao. While the loss may be demoralizing for Pathetic Bilbao, they are still within reach of second place if Pathtetic Bilbao fail to win their last match of the season.
In the third match, Shaktar Donuts dunked Rubin Kebab, winning with a score of 20-12. In a match with implications at the bottom of the table, Shaktar Donuts both climbed to 6th and ensured they will not finish in last. On the other hand, Rubin Kebab made it very difficult for themselves to finish anywhere but bottom. An all-around team performance and a 7.8 rating from Marco Rizzotti sealed the victory for Shaktar Donuts.
Real Coholics put The Real Social Dads to the sword in a match that ended 15-0 in Real Coholic’s favor. Once again the victor jumped over the loser of the week 13 match as Real Coholics now sit in 4th, two points ahead of the Real Social Dads. With a 7.5 rating, Erik Ivaldi led his team to victory, winning Man of the Match in the process. In game that some have coined the Real Derby, the teams finished even with a win a piece this season, ensuring the rivalry will heat up again next season.
Week 14 Preview
The final week of the season begins with Pathetic Bilbao taking on The Real Social Dads. Both teams will be shooting for the stars as both stand to solidify their position in the table. Pathetic Bilbao will hope to cling on to second place while The Real Social Dads can move into fourth with a victory. Fubles is predicting Pathetic Bilbao, the team higher in the table, to win and win their second game against The Real Social Dads this season.
The already crowned champions Birrareal will continue their victory lap against Real Coholics Real Coholics will be eager to spoil the party as a win could see them climb to third place while a loss could potentially tumble them down to fifth. Birrareal are the heavy favorites, but Real Coholics have all to play for making this came a tough one to call.
Next, Rubin Kebab will play Atletico Madrink. Both team need a win if they have any hope of climbing a place in the table during the last match-day. Sitting in last place, Rubin Kebab has only won three games this season, but one of those came against Atletico Madrink during the seventh week of the season. Fubles doesn’t seem to think Rubin Kebab will repeat that feat though as they are favoring Atletico Madrink with a confidence of 62%.
In the final match of the season, Werder Beermen and Shaktar Donuts face off. In another match with implications for the final standing of the table, Shaktar seek a win or draw to solidify sixth and Werder Beermen hope to spoil that and jump into sixth themselves with a victory. Who will claim sixth place? If the previous match is anything to go by, Werder Beermen will be the favorites, however Fubles is picking Shaktar Donuts to win sixth place.
