Another four matches in the book for La Berliga, and league leader Birrareal shows that no end is in sight to their winning ways.
Week 9 Match Report
Atletico Madrink smashed Werder Beermen by 10 goals as the game finished 20-10. Atletico Madrink scored their second impressive win in a row, and all players scored above a 7 rating, and Zizou Marz stole the show with a 7.5 rating. Werder Beermen fall to 7th place with their defeat, and have five games to turn around their fortunes.
Another game with a 10 goal margin, Birrareal beat Rubin Kebab 25-15. Marco Arru led from the back for the league leaders and claimed the Man of the Match award. Rubin Kebab, last year’s champions, lost their last chance to repeat last year’s feat as now they are too far behind Birrareal to get close to the league leader’s point total of 27.
In the closest match of the round, Pathetic Bilbao sneaked past Real Coholics by a score of 24-21. Marcus Vieira posted a godly rating of 8.5 as he powered his team to victory and put himself back in the race for top player of the season. Real Coholics still remain in punching distance of second place, but their chance to win the league will have to wait until next season.
The final match of the round ended in a 3-0 result to The Real Social Dads over Shaktar Donuts. Gulam Zeynalli claimed Man of the Match in a performance any Dad would be proud of. The Real Social Dads are now tied for second and one of the few teams with at least a slim chance of challenging the leaders for the title. On the other hand, Shaktar Donuts still remain in last place, however with a couple wins they could solidify themselves in the middle of the table.
Week 10 Preview
In out first game of the week, The Real Social Dads will take on Atletico Madrink. The Dads are only two points ahead of their opponents, so Atletico Madrink will be hunting for a win in hope of claiming second place. Fubles is giving a slight edge to the Real Social Dads, but as both teams are close in the table and Atletico Madrink one the previous fixture by one goal, this promises to be an intriguing match.
Next, Pathetic Bilbao and Werder Beermen take center stage. Fubles is heavily favoring Pathetic Bilbao even though Werder Beermen won comfortably in their first face-off. Are Pathetic Bilbao much improved or will Werder Beermen repeat their previous feat.
Our next titillating match is between Rubin Kebab and Real Coholics. Both are in need of a win to counter this week’s losses, so both will be going for blood. Fubles can barely choose a winner between these two evenly matched teams, and while the result may be hard to pick, but it should be high scoring just like their first match.
The last match is between first and worst as Birrareal faces Shaktar Donuts. Unsurprisingly, Birrareal are heavy favorites, but can Shaktar pull off the biggest upset of this season? Fubles doesn’t think so, giving Birrareal a 76% chance of winning. Shaktar Donuts will be hoping to improve on the 10-0 drubbing they faced last time they came across Birrareal.
A familiar story this week as there were no perfect scores this round of tipping. Only one tipper guessed 3 games correct, and andreap85 remains comfortably on top of the table. Do you think you can catch him, then join the tipping as you get 25 euros from Skybet just for participating.
Our four most impressive performers and winners of the Man of the Match award in their respective games are Zizou Marz, Marco Arru, Marcus Vieira and Gulam Zeynalli. All four are crowned with 10 km free on Driveby for their Man of the Match winning performers. Marcus Vieira now joins joint second place in the Top Players table in need of one more award to tie the leader.
