La Berliga’s Second Half Off To A Flying Start

As La Berglia begins it’s second half of the season, the table is taking shape and teams are fighting for the top spot.

Week 8 Match Reports

Atletico Madrink easily handled Shaktar Donuts in their 15-5 win.  Atletico Madrink’s Zizou Marz stole the show with a game-high 7.79 rating.  His performance led the way for Atletico Madrink as they sunk Shaktar Donuts down to last place in the table.

In a low scoring affair, Werder Beermen defeated Real Coholics 1-0. In a rare occurrence, the losing team had the Man of the Match winner with Erik Ivaldi taking home the prize.  Cristobal Tejero and Luca De Fabritiis were the top performers for Werder Beermen and ultimately triumphed over the Man of the Match.

Next, Birrareal asserted their dominance with a 29-20 victory over Pathetic Bilbao. Birrareal continues their ridiculous run of beating every opponent put in front of them, and they now stand 12 points clear of the pack.  Kado Damball, a familiar name to the Man of the Match award, claimed the honor again.  Pathetic Bilbao remain in second place, but after their second loss at the hands of the league leaders, they need many results to go their way in order to overtake the dominant Birrareal.

The Real Social Dads eked out a victory against Rubin Kebab winning 25-22.  The Real Social Dads avenged the loss they suffered in the first match-up between these teams.  Matias Gaston Gonzalez powered the Dads to victory with his 7.05 performance.

Week 9 Preview

First, Werder Beermen will take one Atletico Madrink.  Atletico Madrink won by four goals in their last encounter, and Fubles is predicting a similar result.  The sides are only one point apart as a slew of teams battle it out for second place.

We will see if last year’s champs can knock off the favorites this year when Rubin Kebab plays Birrareal.  Birrareal remains unbeaten, and Rubin Kebab will be hoping to change that in order to level the playing field entering the latter stage of the season.  But, Fubles is heavily favoring Birrareal giving them nearly an 80% chance to win.

Next on the agenda, Real Coholics face Pathetic Bilbao.  Real Coholics got the better of Bilbao in the first match between these two, however Bilbao currently sit higher in the table.  It’s predicted to be close, but with a slight edge to the previous victors Real Coholics.

The final match of the day is Shaktar Donuts vs. Real Social Dads.  The Real Social Dads won by a big margin in the first game, but Fubles is predicting this one to be very close, nearly 50-50.  The Real Social Dads are five points ahead, but the Donuts will be eager to climb out of last place.

Tipping Competition

For the fifth week in a row, no tipper picked all four games correctly.  Another similar story is that andreap85 remains on top of the leaderboard with a 7 point advantage over the competition.  One perfect week for another user could see the gap close and heat up the competition for first.  It is still worth it to join the tipping as you get 25 euros from Skybet just for participating.

Top Players

The four Man of the Match winners this week are Zizou MarzErik IvaldiKado Damball and Matias Gaston Gonzalez.  These four top players win not only pride but also 10 km free on Driveby for their Man of the Match winning performers.  Kado Damball becomes the first player to win four Man of the Match awards and now sits on top of the top player charts.
